Getting Involved

 Donating

At the moment, the Purple Ribbon Campaign is a third-party fundraiser, so we do not accept our own donations. Instead, we raise money for various organizations that help people recover from eating disorders. We administer donation pages for several of these organizations, allowing you to easily donate to a charity in your part of the world. Students are selling purple ribbons at several university and college campuses; if such a fundraiser is occurring in your area, please buy a purple ribbon!

In the next few years, we plan to become a registered charity, and you can donate to the Purple Ribbon Campaign directly.

Volunteering

The Purple Ribbon Campaign relies heavily on volunteers, and we are always looking for more people to help out!

The most helpful way for you to help is by selling purple ribbons at your university, college, high school, or workplace, or in your community. You can also help by promoting the Purple Ribbon Campaign by distributing posters or leaflets, by inviting people to join the Purple Ribbon Campaign’s group on facebook, and by passing this website along to family and friends. You can sell as many or as few ribbons as you like, and how much time you would like to commit to volunteering is up to you.

Here are some other ways to volunteer:
-We desperately need a volunteer to design a professional website!
-if you live in Toronto, you can help make ribbons and print posters and pamphlets
-help raise money in your area by selling various other things to collect donations (cookies, jewelry...)
